Choose Mother

Step Out – José González

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW2JsQyqJl8

All our life we choose between wearing two suits.

One that fits, the other we are told we fit in.

Your mother will always tell you to do what your heart wants.

Choose Mother.

Wear one perfect suit.
A good one that feels like you

I Miss Family

I Won’t Fight It – Andrew Belle

Hard to take in — the tangible weeping sadness in her sturdy, cracking voice.

I see her eyes look exhausted as tears continue to drip from them like the melancholic, slow and painful rain. Unseasoned.

I didn’t impede despite imminent explosion for she wanted to speak this time and I needed to hear.

Her yelling paper red face, grieve stricken brow, those freezing arms, trembling lips; I needed to hug her, tell her how much I love her, tell her I am always,.. always here for her.

And in the end, she broke down with all her heart, “I miss familyI miss home ...”

She’s in search

September Song – JP Cooper

Ever so often, she disappears into the woods in search of the crowd; them who for real would just listen to her tales; ones who would fondly, most sincerely and genuinely appreciate her companionship. The ones who spits over judgments.

She asks no bits of advice from you. Not a word, no suggestion, compliments, recommendations or sorts.
All she wants is your pure existence for her and only her.

She’s in search for the one — one who will always value her, the one who just gets the picture. One who brings about the best in her, one who is intelligent enough to let her be, let her grieve and grieve with her if need be. That special one who would turn up anywhere, anytime without a question.

Yes, she’s  is planning for a secret quest to find him, that one prince of her only kingdom, the only one who’d forever hold her hands, touch her deepest self, set her soul on fire and kisses her the whole.

Yes, she searches for someone who truly is brave enough to promise to be there for her today, tomorrow and ever.

"Be Realistic. Plan for a miracle." - OSHO

Hearts ‘Beat’

Hearts Don’t Break Around Here –  Ed

This is so cool — I am here in these heart ‘beats’.

Heart, she ‘whispers’.
She ‘moves’.
She’s lightly ‘heavy’.
But she’s ‘strong’.
She’s you.
She’s I.

Fell In Love

You Already Know – Bombay Bicycle Club

She waited for him like our gardens, the butterflies, the bees wait for the spring.

She craves him like deserts thirst for the rain.

She thinks of him like the mountains think of the sun.

She fell in love with him the way babies fell for sleep.

He is everywhere like the air around her.

She loves him as much as she loves the taste of long deep breaths … in her heart.

Dear Mister

I Will Wait – Mumford & Sons

Dear Mister Bully,

[Part 1]

I see you have problems with my current relationship status, ending up as single? And how convenient for you to make this a joke on me, and on the face.

Frankly, and most sincerely, this is not the first time and ain’t the only subject you mouth crapp-ed.

First thing first, my life or no one else’s is any of your business (Emphasis added).

Sadly, our schools and colleges don’t teach stuff like ‘How To Talk. Behave.’ but character tells.

Anyway, I’d like to talk about you a bit — YOUR WAY!

Here’s to you as asked; my resume.

True, I am happily single. Are you?

True, I have dated amazing and beautiful girls, you can only wish for — at least this life.

True, I have tested my fears picking up on girls only you wish you had ballazacks to even dream doing.

And for your record, this doesn’t mean I play with feelings. I don’t. Instead, I have held their many secrets, their extraordinary stories in these arms, dearly, caringly  — all tucked inside my memory bottle, scintillating, kindled and locked forever.

Likewise, in need, I have been lucky to be able to give them a man’s shoulders to grieve upon. In need, I have been lucky to be able to share some warm-welcoming wit; support them in lightning up their world a little. Permission asked! Have you?

Unlike you, I don’t moan, I do not rant about being single. But Oh boy, you had me here.

Unlike you, I do not propose every beautiful girl around or over the internet.

Unlike you, I don’t build a castle in the air. I work.

And above all, above all … I don’t cheap talk about girls like you do, you vulture.

[Part 2]

Yes, most certainly, I was a loser, once the heartbroken banana. Sure, I had long forgotten those abominable things of the past, but you dug it on me, didn’t you?

You pathetic wag who hides behind one or two quotes someone much much wiser than yourself bespoke. Sure, you speak big and know as much little as big BIG, you ignorant, self-obsessed, egocentric, Know-It-All lunatic.

To keep this feud short, all I’d say is —  I have learned and measured my ways by experiencing things, by doing stuff. Not by wasting my time on trash talks like you did then … like you do even today!

And lastly, I hope you are reading this Mister. And look at yourself in the mirror and ask what you think I miss in me only to wish you had had on you, in you.

Again, one final request —  Like I said, look yourself closely in the mirror ten-thousand and infinite time over, learn to weigh in your words before you speak anything, anything at all. For take, this — Plato once pointed out, “Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.”

You see, I do not take pride in what I wrote here. It neither defines the whole who I am, nor yourself.  I am just pissed at your ignorance, your deafness, dumbness.

p.s. Here's a flying finger to you and your self-made life's philosophy, you twat!
p.p.s.Something's burning here. Anger. Apologies for slangs. Sorry but not sorry. Enjoy the song!

88 days / 134 days

Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jana Sanam – Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)

She loves him head over heels, she is just taking all the weight by herself.

For concealed feelings weigh earth, the ocean, the universe.

He loves her with all his heart. She’s in his dream, in his smile, his eyes, his secret dance too.

She is all over the place, she’s just not with him.

Loves need no words, it is the language of hearts, the eyes.

She’s miles away from him, He’s miles away from her.

But, Love knows no distance, it is why hearts beat.

Science says it takes a man 88 days to say ‘I love you’ while women take about 134 days for the same.

Science aside, they have fallen in love with each other for this life. They should be fine.

“If somebody says 'I love you' to me, I feel as though I had a pistol pointed at my head. What can anybody reply under such conditions but that which the pistol holder requires? 'I love you, too'.” ― Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Wampeters, Foma and Granfalloons

Had She Not

Sham – Amit Trivedi

Had she not come into my life, I would have been ‘words’ with no ‘feelings’, no ‘expressions’.

Had she not chosen me for her, I would have been a ‘brick’ tossed in the rubbish with no ‘name’, ‘no address’.

She filled soul in this empty vessel.

She is the only reason I know I fell in love with the journey.

Strangers Again

Haal-E-Dil – Sanam Teri Kasam

I wish we can be strangers again!

Feel.

Forget everything.

And start over.

I wish I can take back all the tears you so molted when wound, the pain slowly,
fervently melted, ate your pent-up ❤️, all because of me.
Humbly, I had that wrong. And I am so sorry.
But I was on the same page and you know it.
I wish we can change our hearts because mine is all flowers now.
I want to feel yours, keep her close evermore, fix her, take care of you from here onwards … till death do us apart.
I wish we can be strangers again!
