Sleepwalk

“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” “Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement”

James Clear
Dimple – Sickflip, Mismatched

The one mistake we often make is to sleepwalk in the name of living. Mostly unnoticed, unaware.

Sleepwalk could be many things: Passively scrolling, scouring, vulturing on social media. Movies. Soaps. Youtube videos. Porns. Impulsive shopping. Wishful thinking. Bitching. Sleeping (or to be precise — pretending to sleep in the name of taking rest). We might as well give it a puff if we smoke. We might as well go partying, drinking if we’re outgoing.

Let’s be honest — we’ve all been there.

We’ve all wasted, we’ve all wearied ourselves a little more, a little less, a little too much exploiting, overspending, undervaluing the only non-renewable currency — Time!

Well, now we know, let’s change that :-

Let’s try to be as much unpredictable.

More demanding of time.

Challenge(s) hungry.

Pain thirsty.

Always grinding but enjoying the restfulness too.

Disciplined. However, at times throw ourselves into healthy recklessness that is good for our mind and spirit

Deliberately awaresome of our choices.

Purposeful.

Responsible.

Lastly, as in the words of James Clear, “The best way to break a bad habit is to make it impossible to do. And the best way to create a good habit is to automate it so you never have to think about it again.”

Let’s try to automate our life bit by bit, step-by-step.

No pressure.

Not tomorrow.

Namaste.

Time does not wait

Imagine who you could be and then aim single-mindedly at that

Jordan Peterson
Frizzell D’Souza – Foolish Once Again

It is our responsibility to make the best use of our time.

Use it to grow our skills.

Use it to enrich our wealth of wisdom.

Use it in the act of kindness and selflessness.

Use it to take care of ourselves,.. to rejuvenate ourselves!

Use it to tell the story of its use.

Use it to paint your life with colors of joy and memories.

Time does not wait

It is our responsibility to invest our love for labor and effort in the time we have.

Use it to propel forward in life.

Use it to give all we can give for the sake of person we can become.

Use it to perhaps be proud of ourselves one-day!

Use it to never regret not using it, investing on it.

Time does not wait

Leap.

Discover.

Become.

Time doesn’t wait.

Namaste.

What a shit!

Vance Joy – Riptide

No riches ever bought a single second.

And we are here mostly wasting this priceless, non-renewable resource slash wealth slash commodity called time :-

  • over dead-end jobs you hate from the deepest of your weeping heart,
  • over relationships that’s killing the life out of you and your fucking soul,
  • over glowing screens and infinitely streaming youtube fcuking videos,
  • over never-enough social media pornography and inorganic, nonsensical vomits,
  • over ruminating, unhealthy, self-defeating, substance-less brain farts,
  • over naysayers’ commentaries, allegations and fucked judgements,
  • over ephemeral pleasures and unwise enslavement around gaining and chasing of superfluous stuffs,
  • over weighing ignorance and irresponsible life choice,
  • over fear of missing out,
  • over inevitable  flinches,
  • over fear of fears.

What a shit!

Don’t waste your time

Osho Jain – Khush To Hai Na

Annie Dillard unpacks an age old, wise adage, “How you spend your day is how you spend your life.” in her fabulous, beautifully cooked book ‘The Writing Life’

And so did, few super, fat, big questions floated on the surface from deep down the marrow of my weightless bones :-

How does your perfect day look like?

How you feeling? Fu<>ked?

Do you really enjoy your work? Are you inspired to stretch a little too far?

Do you love yourself enough, minus self-obsession plus healthy, sexy, humble self-esteem?

Do you seriously take care of yourself?

Are you aware of your and your loved one’s fleeting mortality?

Slave or free?

Unsure? Cock sure? Healthy self-doubt?

Driven by fear or fulfillment?

Sleeping enough?

Fake (misled, biased) ? or Fairly authentic (organic facts, less biased)?

I suggest, and before it is too late, and the sooner the better — you start asking these defining questions of life in your wild one-life!

And, yeah! On an ending note: Once a guy named William Shakespeare in his drama ‘Hamlet’ quote, “Brevity is the soul of wit.”

Well, my stranger internet friend, my mentor Paul Graham succinctly suggests in one of his thought provoking essays as he writes, “Don’t ignore your dreams; don’t work too much; say what you think; cultivate friendship; be happy.”

So, hey, and for real — don’t waste your f<cki>g time!

Just, keep it nice and simple stupid!

p.s a bonus track tonight!

Good night!

It has been a while that I have taken sometime off of the active-writing bacchanalia.

It’s time.
