That’s why you’ll fail in life

Ayushmann  – Chan Kitthan

The rule of the game is already set my friend.

Today, I’m speaking about the alleyways, the long stretch highways to failures! (ain’t sure about the success’s)

-Let's begin-

You wake up every morning — mentally drained, soulfully fucked, clearly unmotivated and lost and frustrated and depressingly empty and sure enough — expecting most of your days to pass just the same. Stale!

Well, that’s why you’ll fail in life, my friend.

You are pathologically cerebral, meaning: you feed slash spend most of your precious time befriending these stinking, ill-informed, ill-formed, bantering, complaining, skull-numbing and resentful thoughts all the time. That’s why you’ll fail in life.

You lack goals and purpose and more specifically a will for change and especially the demanding strength to take right actions. Instead you are so full of shits and complains and wild arrogance and willful ignorance. That’s why you’ll fail in life, dear friend.

You’re the slave of instant gratification which is why you’d kill yourself to live and to dream of meaningless slash ephemeral convenience slash pleasures every hour of every day. And, that’s why you’ll fail in life.

You despise plans. You don’t have time for learning and reading. Obviously, you’ve mastered flinching. You’re easily intimidated. And, in a laconic sense of Steven Pressfield, you let resistance (self-sabotage, procrastination, fear, arrogance, self-doubt) wash and squash you over and over. Most certainly, you’ve killed a vivid adventurer within you. Plus, you’ve lost the senses to your pulverized, paralyzed curiosity muscles. And, that’s why you’ll fail in life, mate!

You’ve no thirst for solitude and you fear boredom in the likes of predator and a prey relationship. You spend too much time passively scrolling and browsing; renting out your eyeballs slash priceless attention for nothing. To nothing.  That’s why you’ll fail in life.

You’re irresponsible towards yourself. Your growth per se. You have no patience, no sense of direction, no philosophy, no shred of groomed slash cultivated wisdom and absolutely not a fucking sense of what the f*ck’s going on in your life. However, rather cocksure about the dull/ dilute fairness and unfairness measurements. All in your head! All in your fucking head. That’s why you’ll fail in life.

You’re a people pleaser. You have zero focus towards educating slash empowering slash enabling yourself. You, the ‘Yes Man‘ (with every bones in your body) worry about what other ought and must perceive of you more than relying on the best of life tools such as constant self-reflections, regular self-examinations and shameless self-corrections. And, that’s why you’ll fail in life, my beloved friend.

Finally, to wrap this list of acrid truths regarding failure symptoms I’d like to end with a quote from Oriah (an author of a poem  — The Invitation):

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.

… It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
