He is home.

She, the stars.

Stumbled, they kissed and… and heaven began.

Music

Maya Meri Maya – Sanjay Shrestha

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7aHAw1Q_a0

Had she not embraced me, had she not been my friend, I know I would have never made it this far.

I would have just disappeared like that bubble on air soon to meet its fate.

One, she saved me in my blues. She gave me the courage in adversity.

She filled in me — the hope and love, at times when everything was taken away from me and life was distasteful.

She still gives me goosebumps. She still is my best friend I cry with, I rock and roll with.

Music, she spoke to me, for me, when all I wanted was to not listen but listened to.

Our music, our story.

40 beautiful years

Vanna Aaudaina- Naren Limbu

40 beautiful years since our marriage and still rocking.

We met in high school. And, I remember he waited till the school was over to propose me. I remember the exact date, it was August the 25th when he said the three magic words.

I’ll be honest, your grandfather was an average guy by looks. And since we were best friends at first, he knew very well that there were a handful of rich and good-looking guys who flirted out open; those who deliberately tried sweeping me off the feet with gifts and cards and dates and sugary letters. But, he never spoke a word about it only to reveal it later that he wholeheartedly trusted my judgments over these kinds of stuff.. these.

He confessed he wished to see me live my life bold and free. Doesn’t matter if it would cost him his silenced love breathing inside of him for me.

He was right, I very well knew my ground. I knew where I wanted to go, who I wanted to go with.

Sure, I also liked him. But Love, love hadn't really crossed my mind until that eureka moment when he contemplated his feelings for me over the lunch at my house that August evening.

Sure, he genuinely outshined, differently. He truly was special and different.
And losing him would have been a terrible, terrible life loss.

Looking back, I couldn’t be happier I chose him to those terrible nuances.

Because behold, beyond words, could explain how much I liked and loved this man for his undeterred friendship, his understanding of the matters — the way he sees and explains things, his beautiful, beautiful mind, the silly sense of humor, his thick voice, his lightweight smile and on and on and on.

I won’t lie, I didn’t accept his proposal right away. Of course, I took my time but without a doubt, he still is my best decision ever… ever.

33 Countries, 2 years, 8 months and 11 days

 Thorai – Topi

First and foremost, Thank you for your kind words, Victor.

And Thanks to all the amazing people who went a step further to help this awesome wanderer live his dream.

Victor Alarcon writes on his facebook -

"Alright, dear friends, I really don’t know where and how to start. It’s been 23 days since I got back in Mexico, my homeland. I wanted to write something as soon as I would be back here but it hasn’t been easy. I wanted to let you all know that I’m grateful for everything you helped me with and I also want you to know how much I miss you, but again, I can’t think of the right words to describe what just happened, well, what happened before coming back here. I don’t want to be dramatic and I don’t want to bore you out either, so I’m going to try to summarize everything I have in my head.

I quit my job to travel and I started the trip on Agust 19, 2014. I didn’t have a fixed schedule. I only wanted to see the world, fulfill my dream to visit different countries, make friends, learn, give, help, live adventures, admire landscapes, get in touch with different cultures and just let myself go with the flow. I saved up money for 2 years and then Ieft. Among many other things, resigning my job to travel has been the best decision I’ve taken so far!

I think about the trip and I still can’t believe what I pulled off, then I think of all the places I went to, all the people I met, I take a look at the photos, gifts, and I feel a mix of sensations. I feel nostalgic, happy, melancholic, anxious and thrilled as I’m writing this!

I set off on a journey that lasted 2 years, 8 months and 11 days. I roamed more than 118,475 km. I visited 33 countries: Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Spain, Morocco, Poland, Macedonia, Georgia, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, China, and Canada. I slept in more than 150 different surfaces, I took 29 flights, I hitchhiked in most countries, I hitchhiked almost every country, but most important of all, I made a lot of amazing friends!

I wouldn’t have done this without your help and support. Also, without the support of strangers that later on would become friends whom I wish to see once more, someday. I want to thank to all the people who helped me. Thanks for all for your efforts, for your words, for your smiles, for your time, for your friendship and for your kindness. This trip let me met amazing people, really, all of you are amazing!

Now I’m gonna try to name a few of you, it’ll be a long list, sorry for that!

She wants

Bistarai Bistarai – Namrata Shrestha

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MgWThY0iZg

She doesn’t want your money protection.

Most certainly, if she is the one, the real one for real, she is absolutely not expecting the financial security twaddle from you.

For she can fulfill her own needs all by herself. She can take care of her children, her family, herself, all on her own.

These rare daughters would rather be in the driver seat.

By all means, she’s totally independent for she’s a 21st-century girl, women, not from the 17oos.

But then, she asks one security from you boys and men  — only one.

She wants the emotional security from you.

To strengthen out:

She wants to feel being loved.

She wants you to accept her as she is and be super cool with that.

She wants you to understand her, understand her PMS mood swings, understand her love for things, her fears.

She wants you to respect and protect her dear secrets.

She wants you to pay attention, make her a priority she rightly deserves.

Without asking, yes, she craves to be appreciated fairly.

For this life, she wants you all for her.

She craves for the kind you, the adorable, lovable you, the emotionally billionaire you — not your world-class empire or a million dollar blood diamond.

All she asks of you ... is your awareness!

My First Love

Resham – Nepathya

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrsJoj0LBmU

The story throws back to the days when I was so addicted to ‘Super Mario’. The game where a plumber man is to rescue the princess. The only thing I thought I knew about love — was marrying ‘her’ one day and always having ‘her’ beside me as we grow old together. I thought I was to be her plumber man saving her from the dragons.

I even hypothesized that my friends will forever be jealous of me and I will be the happiest boy because ‘She’ would choose me to any of them.

I fell in love for the first time ever when I was 14 years old.
I was in the middle of my fifth grade at school and there she was two desks ahead of me.
I verily thought she was the one.
I loved attending school, the lectures, only because she was there.
I was so in love with her.

Now, looking back, I am not surprised that I did buy her a special postcard on Valentine’s Day and that when I was still a 5th grader.
I remember I rushed to her house early in the morning before mom searches for me.
And just as I reached there, oh! I was trembling like a wet cat.

I wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to do.

But I didn’t care. (I had learned then that ‘Valentine’s Day’ is special for lovers. I didn’t want to miss this day.)

The problem was, I neither had a phone nor my facebook account, or viber or instagram to arrange the meetup, so without options, I called out her name as I rang the doorbell — afraid what if her dad shows up or her mom.

Luckily, she appeared instead of them both.
I gave it to her abruptly, she took the envelope and left hastily.
I noticed, she was also trembling like a wet cat. I assumed she must have gotten shy or really really freaking surprised.

(Little did she know, I had stolen money from my father for that expensive card (NRs 25) which had words written inside it even I didn’t understand then. But I liked it anyway.
Stealing is bad but since I had no money to express how much I loved her on ours’ day — the valentine, I thought I’d make a very important exception. And just in case if dad finds out I’ll tell him the truth. I expect him to understand my situation because he also loves our mom very very much.)

Today, I revealed this small secret to Mr. Pop and Mrs. Mum over the dinner; we all had a blast.
We agreed, “It was a genuine puppy love. And stealing was a bad idea.

To conclude, well, yes, I did propose her over a letter.
She wrote back. She rejected.

All my plans toppled in a fly but since she said we rather focus on our study and make future for ourselves first — It made sense and I wasn’t sad anymore.

She didn’t say anything about the card though?  😂😂

All this, because I know I won't have my first love twice again.
All this, because I still am in love with my yester-self -- that unpredictable, impish-ed, carefree, straightforward him.
