Dear Jane

Who says Life isn’t hard.

Who says Life isn’t beautiful!

~ Author

Joy Oladokun – breathe again

Bio on her instagram reads,

Pretty beat up, but I still got dreams.”

Well, there she was singing her authentic story and,

somehow subconsciously, I didn’t want her to stop.

Thing is — this rarely happens to me!

Flashback to that one episode.

I remember that as she spoke — in the due course of her one full performance on that stage,

it was genuinely a true privilege listening to her, and i mean every ‘bit’ per se.

Her message of hope,

Her grit to not act victim,

Her poise to not seek sympathy,

Her sheer will to never give up,

Plus, a unique beauty and the clarity in her sharp voice;

it was too good to be true to have it all in one human!

It was like a calling to me.

And, I had to write about this, … tonight!

Write about Jane Marczweski (who also goes by the stage name ‘Nightbirde’).

Thing is, it so happens that Jane has 2% chance of surviving from her cancer.

And yet, .. yet she courageously — figuratively, stretching her arms wide open says,

2% is not zero percent. 2% is something, and I wish people knew how amazing it is.”

Lastly, in that beautiful exchange of words that happened, Jane also confidently says —

“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”

Dear Jane,

Thank you so much for all of that!

p.s. Don’t miss this.

Namaste.
