Dear Grandma’

The Marriage of Figaro Duettino – Mozart

Dear Grandma’,

I see it in your eyes, that indescribable warmth they provide. The happiness of a flying kite; them your eyes.

As we sit together to sit around, I feel this refreshing rush of feelings, running inside of me. Sure, I am the sea, and you, the moon, and the rest are all gravity game between you (ma’) and me.  This dopamine, the serotonin.

Your dirty jokes, the way you care for me, wise words, the stories you tell (with pauses and coughs), your tears, the kinetic bloom your face throws, that ever-cherished smile of yours — Yes, I am in love with all of you, with all you are.

Yours,

Kancha

p.s.  just like I said during my visit last weekend — I may not be around every second of the day ma’ — But, just have it in your heart that any moment you feel alone, any moment you miss my being, I would have equally missed you ….seeing.
